Deaf Comic: Tattooed Back

Posted in cartoon, Deaf by Robs on August 10, 2008

One of Deaf artist Matt Daigle’s cartoons is amazing. It is about someone not knowing you are deaf and talking behind you at a gym locker room. The best solution is that a tattooed message on your back. The cartoon is very funny! See below…

For further information, please visit Matt Daigle’s blog: That Deaf Cartoonist. Matt’s cartoons are deaf-related humor and generic humor.

Film entitled: Four Deaf Yorkshiremen

Posted in Deaf Cinema, film by Robs on August 7, 2008

I enjoyed watching this film because it is very funny. The film is about deaf men who challenge each other to tell their worst stories. I never thought of the ending, and I laughed out loud at the ending. I like the ending. The plot is excellent. This short film is 10 minutes long.

I bought the special edition DVD “Four Deaf Yorkshiremen” includes extra features, and I also got the two glossy photos of the “Four Deaf Yorkshiremen.”

You can buy the DVD, and see “Four Deaf Yorkshiremen” in full quality, just contact Charlie Swinbourne at director.charlie@googlemail.com for more information! The DVD sale is raising money for the second film “The Return of the Four Deaf Yorkshiremen.”

I’m looking forward to watch the second film.

Director: Charlie Swinbourne

Producer: Charlie Swinbourne

Screenwriter: Charlie Swinbourne

Studio: Remark Production

Coming Out as a Deaf Person

Posted in Deaf Cinema, film by Robs on July 28, 2008

This film is hilarious because in the first 30 seconds it looks like he’s about to come out as gay.  The parallels between being Deaf and being gay are so similar.  There are many parents don’t want to accept that their child is gay and there are many parents who do not want to accept that their child is Deaf.  This short film is 6 1/2 minutes long.  The plot is brilliant.

Cast: David Hay, Debbie Norman, Ilan Dwek

Director: Louis Neethling

Producer: Alison Lynch

Screenwriter: Charlie Swinbourne

Studio: AC2.com Productions Ltd

Genre: Comedy

Language: British Sign Language and English, with English subtitles

Sign Language Interpretation: Crazy

Posted in ASL, music by Robs on May 24, 2008

st0rmfx is back!!! He produced another ASL music video of “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley. His make-up work also was amazing! Hope you enjoy watching and rocking it!

Crazy
By Gnarls Barkley

I remember when, I remember
I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place.
Even your emotions had an echo in so much space

And when you’re out there without care
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn’t because I didn’t know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Probably

I know that you are
Having the time of your life
But think twice
That’s my only advice

Come on now, who do you
Who do you, who do you, who do you think you are?
Ha ha ha bless your soul
You really think you’re in control?

Well, I think you’re crazy
I think you’re crazy
I think you’re crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart
To lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember
Is thinking, I want to be like them

Ever since I was little
Ever since I was little it looked like fun
And it’s no coincidence I’ve come
And I can die when I’m done

Maybe I’m crazy
Maybe you’re crazy
Maybe we’re crazy
Possibly
